Tralasciando battute facili, al giorno d'oggi per navigare nel web esistono programmi differenti con caratteristiche molto diverse tra loro. Una pagina web per risultare visibile in tutti i browser, nella stessa maniera, deve rispettare gli standard fissati dal w3Consortium. Secondo me questo è molto importante, in quanto, nessuno deve essere discriminato a causa del browser scelto. E' altresì molto importante in quanto i browser alternativi a Internet Explorer stanno prendendo sempre più piede (si parla di quote di mercato del 50%) e l'impossibilità da parte di questi visitatori di visualizzare correttamente il sito si trasforma in una loro fuga, e quindi una perdita di potenziali contatti.
